François Bissonnette became a real estate broker in 1995 and has built his career with remarkable success ever since. Working his way from a simple agent to a licensed broker, François was among the first to create his own team under a major banner before founding REALTA and making it an industry-changing real estate brokerage. François is a born competitor with a strong business acumen. His professional record, both from working solo and within a team, is dotted with prestigious awards and honours.
François needed to take just one step to transition from a broker “not like the others” to the founder of his own real estate banner. It was his modern vision for the industry that prompted him to found REALTA and surround himself with a team of like-minded brokers who were equally committed, competent and efficient. François says that, above all else, he especially enjoys playing the role of mentor. His door is always open.
François is more than simply a man of vision and action. He’s also recognized by his peers as a respected leader. He sat on the Greater Montreal Real Estate Board for a decade and later served as its president. He also chaired the board of the Collège de l’immobilier. His commitment to breathing new life into the profession of real estate broker has long set him apart.
As the face of REALTA, François is actively involved in his community. Among other things, he was chairs the board of the “Maison internationale des arts de la marionnette”, located in Outremont. A project that was particularly close to his heart. Always involved in the arts and culture community, he is the president of the board of directors of Casteliers, a theater broadcaster dedicated to the arts of puppetry.
Before entering real estate, he spent 20 years working as a plant and product development manager in the food industry.
In addition to being an accomplished manager, François holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from HEC Montréal.
