REALTA DOUBLES ITS SALES VOLUME IN JUST TWO YEARS [-]
Statistics from the Greater Montréal Real Estate Board for the year 2009 are extolling the remarkable commercial success of the REALTA agency since its creation in January 2008. During its two years of existence, the REALTA team has doubled its sales volume, jumping from $21 million under another banner in 2007, to $41 million in 2009 – nearly a 200% increase. During this same period, members of the Greater Montréal Real Estate Board saw their sales grow by 5.2%.
What’s more, REALTA agents sold 4.5 times more than the average GMREB agent in 2009, and almost three times more than competing agents working in the Outremont market.
“I am very proud of REALTA’s performance, which once again proves the effectiveness of our business model and the efficiency of our agents,” said its president, François Bissonnette. “On behalf of the entire team, I would also like to thank our clients for their loyalty. They are the reason we exist and they remain our best ambassadors.”

FRANÇOIS BISSONNETTE ELECTED TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE GREATER MONTRÉAL REAL ESTATE BOARD [+]
REALTA, the young and dynamic real estate agency located in Outremont, is proud to announce that its president, François Bissonnette, has been elected by his peers to the board of directors for the Greater Montréal Real Estate Board for the next two years. With over 10,000 members, the GMREB represents the vast majority of real estate agents and brokers in the Greater Montreal region and is the second-largest real estate board in Canada.
François Bissonnette launched his career as a real estate agent in 1995 and has been a real estate broker since 1998. He founded Realta in January 2008 and his agency met instant success. So much so that during its first year, sales jumped 45% over to the previous year under another banner, while members of the Greater Montréal Real Estate Board saw a 7% drop in sales. Realta sets itself apart from the competition, thanks to a business philosophy firmly rooted in cultivating the common knowledge and work methods of its agents, not to mention its friendly, personalized approach and innovative spirit.
“Being elected to board of the GMREB is an honour for both me and my team,” Bissonnette says. “As a board member, I will be tackling head-on the issues our industry faces and the best practices for our profession. Our clients will certainly benefit from this.”
“François’ experience and entrepreneurial spirit constitute an important addition to our board,” says Michel Beauséjour, Chief Executive Officer of the GMREB. “The Board’s mission is to promote and protect its members’ professional and business interests. To fulfill this mission, our board of directors must seek out the best talent in the industry. On behalf of the entire board, I warmly welcome François to our midst.”
